{"id":7896,"date":"2018-02-16T11:43:48","date_gmt":"2018-02-16T11:43:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/classicissima.it\/?p=7896"},"modified":"2018-03-16T09:32:22","modified_gmt":"2018-03-16T09:32:22","slug":"details-about-the-granfondo-san-remo-san-remo-2018-route-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/classicissima.it\/de\/details-about-the-granfondo-san-remo-san-remo-2018-route-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Details about the Granfondo San Remo San Remo 2018 route"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>start <\/strong>of the two routes of the Granfondo San Remo \u2013 San Remo \u201cLa Classicissima\u201d is scheduled for 9:00 am on 18 March in Corso Garibaldi.<\/p>\n<p>The route will proceed immediately towards the west, following the highway,<strong> Statale Aurelia<\/strong>, for<strong> 14 km<\/strong>, substantially on the flat with some not very demanding climbs, up to the entrance of the Val Nervia valley. The following kilometers will take the cyclists first to <strong>Camporosso<\/strong> and then to <strong>Dolceacqua<\/strong> (one of the most attractive towns in all of western Liguria).<\/p>\n<p>Upon reaching <strong>Isolabona (26 km)<\/strong> you turn right, passing over a bridge to head towards <strong>Apricale (28 km).<\/strong> The road will then begin to become steeper, until it reaches the village of <strong>Bajardo (40 km)<\/strong>. However the slopes will not be impossible, and the road will also allow you to benefit from the warmth of the sun, thanks to the absence of shade and vegetation.<\/p>\n<p>After Bajardo you will follow on for another <strong>20 km<\/strong>, immersed in countryside inland, touching <strong>Vignai<\/strong> (<strong>48 km<\/strong>) and then descending into the Valle Argentina valley where the route meets the former Statale road 548 that leads, by way of a light but constant descent, to <strong>Arma di Taggia (70 km)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After reaching the coast again the two groups will divide. The participants of the long route (which will be described in a post that follows) will head towards the east, whereas those of the medium route will turn right towards San Remo. After <strong>4 km<\/strong> from Aurelia you will come across the legendary crossroads of <strong>Poggio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>finish<\/strong> will await the cyclists after 3 km of hairpin turns, with some sprains that have often marked the history of the Milan \u2013 San Remo race of the professionals.<br \/>\nAll the information you need is available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.classicissima.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\">official website<\/a> of the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The start of the two routes of the Granfondo San Remo \u2013 San Remo \u201cLa Classicissima\u201d is scheduled for 9:00 am on 18 March in Corso Garibaldi.
